Could it Be Food Dye that’s Wrecking Your Gut and Giving you IBS?

A new study has reveals that common food dyes can trigger inflammatory bowel disease.

Researchers from the McMaster University in Canada have conducted a study into inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs) revealing that our household food dyes used in foods can act as a trigger for IBDs, Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

The study was performed on animal models, concluding that continual consumption of Allura Red AC (a common ingredient in cereals, lollies, soft drinks, and dairy products) can have harmful effects on human gut health and promote internal inflammation.
