Does Finding Food Freedom Mean I’ll Gain Weight?

Restrictive diets. You know them. You’ve tried them. You hate them.

But sometimes denying yourself certain foods seems like the only way to get the results you want. Yet eventually, you may start to approach your relationship with food and healthy living in a different way.

Here at Grace Filled Plate, we focus on making food choices that honor God and the different body types and needs He gave us. This is what we call food freedom.

But here’s the thing. When you’re on the cusp of taking the leap into food freedom and intuitive eating, you may have a fear shared by other women who want to take the leap too: Does finding food freedom mean weight gain?

It’s a legitimate fear caused by the diet mentality with which our brains have been programmed for years. This is how eating what we want when we want becomes a recipe for disaster.
